Description
An outstanding example of a rare 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo Slant Nose Coupe with only 37,568 original documented miles. A total of 1,945 Porsche 930s were imported to the United States in 1989. Only 147 of them were Slant Noses, of which only 34 were coupes. This car is verified with the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity that is included. As documented, this car production completion date was March 9, 1989.
It was ordered with the following options: slant nose body option, electric sliding sunroof, shorter gear shift lever, limited slip differential, lumbar support left seat, radio w/CD player, amplifier system and U.S. standard emissions. The car was sold new in Hawaii and then made its way to California in 1993. The car sports its original color of Guards Red, which is beautiful in every sense of the word. The car sits on 17” Porsche two-piece wheels that are truly stunning. The wheels are wrapped with brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The original black leather interior is in beautiful condition and everything is in working order with exception of the clock. The trunk compartment is very neat, and a Camber Truss Stable Energies Porsche Performance bar was added between the strut towers for better handling.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout. It’s home to the original matching-numbers 3.3L 6-cylinder engine with 282 hp. This engine runs and sounds excellent through a custom high performance exhaust. The engine is coupled with the original matching-numbers G50 5-speed transmission. This is the only year the G50 5-speed transmission was offered, making it very desirable among collectors.
